IDC Technology Leader Award
The CIO50 Middle East Awards criteria
The 2021 CIO50 Middle East Awards were judged on three core principles: innovation, leadership and resilience.
Open to the top technology leader of an organisation – the person responsible for the overall direction and vision of IT in a company – the CIO50 Middle East awards recognized CIOs who are at the forefront of technology-driven strategic change.
The CIO50 Middle East Awards were specifically designed to determine:
All entries were evaluated by a CIO50 Middle East judging panel consisting of: James Henderson, editorial editor at CIO ASEAN; Shumon Zman, CIOat Ali & Sons, Nasser Alawad and Marc Ferranti, CIO regional editor and editor in chief, IDG News Service; NagiaEl-Mary, country manager, IDC Egypt; Barbara Simon managing director at IDG New Zealand and Yogesh Gopta, editorial Director at CIO India. To determine the final list, the judges rated each section. The most powerful nominations provided real-world examples of how technology and digital-transformation leaders are successfully providing value to organisations, driving innovation and leading teams.
IDG congratulates all nominees and finalists for 2021 CIO50 Middle East!

It’s an honor to be named “Microsoft MVP” again and to be awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. (2021 -2022)
Apart from being an MVP, I am still a Microsoft Region Director (community leader award). To be clear, I am not returning to Microsoft but they are kind enough to recognize the contributions of my community through their award programs.
We are grateful for your support, especially Deepak Rajendran and Ann Johnson.
