FullHost expands into AWS Managed Services Cloud Hoster FullHost now lets its customers run Web apps out of an Amazon Web Services (AWS), region in Canada. This is in addition to FullHost’s own datacenters. FullHost, a 17-year-old company, offers both hosting solutions as well as server management services. It is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The company previously offered services only from its two self-operated, self-owned datacenters in Toronto and Vancouver. According to FullHost’s “About Us” section, “Everything we offer was run and operated directly on Canadian soil.” FullHost made this change to respond to customer feedback. The company announced Wednesday that clients of FullHost can now choose AWS in Montreal, Canada. This is in addition to their Vancouver or Toronto data center locations. “The client can choose their preferred data center location before agreeing to a solution. The provider will offer other AWS locations around the world by 2022. FullHost claims that the move is in response to customers’ requests to be allowed to host certain applications, such as e-commerce or WordPress sites directly on AWS. This may be to take advantage AWS’ global footprint to reach a wider audience. This requires more time, expertise, and money than customers can afford to maintain for the long-term. FullHost announced Wednesday that it will absorb the management costs for its customers. It will offer three new AWS solutions.
